Welcome to the first and only directory for the Southern African Olive Industry.

The industry has experienced a remarkable growth over the last ten years, elevating it to an independent industry of substance. All indications are that the next decade will be even more prolific and exciting.

The 2011 harvest has been bountiful with the majority of growers recording good production figures. Fruit has been very healthy and no major problems have been reported. Preliminary tastings of the fresh oils indicate that some really great oils are being produced.

Now for the good news! Consumers' thirst for knowledge on olive products continues unabated. We need more information sessions, tasting sessions, courses and workshops in all regions of the country. There is a dramatic increase in interest in table olives and the processing thereof. The increased demand from the consumers is no doubt driving this trend.

We will do our utmost to ensure expansion and continuity of this website. We welcome input and suggestions to make this Directory  as relevant as possible and ultimately indispensable to all those involved and interested in the industry.

Anybody who would like to participate is very welcome. We invite you to either contact us directly or to complete the listing application on the Contact Us page.
